Album Launch!

After over 30 years in the entertainment industry, performing with multiple bands and theatre companies in venues as diverse as the Rogers Centre, the Sydney Opera House and Madison Square Gardens, Ryan Desaulnier is releasing his first solo Album, 'Navigate to You' on June 1. Featuring an eclectic range of styles including Rock, Pop and Reggae, Navigate to You is a musical journey that will have something for everyone's tastes.

Navigate to You is influenced by a range of musical artists from The Beatles, Credence Clearwater Revival to Green Day, Magic and Foster the People. While Ryan acknowledges the wide range in styles in the songs on the album, there are clear links between them. Ryan explains, 'All the songs relate in some way to relationships, either between two people, (such as in Jolie, Can't Walk Out or In The Night),  grappling with relationships with oneself, (as in Mountaintop or You're Going to Be Ok), or one's relationship to the world, (as in Can You Feel me?). The 'you' in Navigate to You can apply to either oneself or other people, and the desire to get closer to other human beings, or more fully connected to your authentic self. I also experimented heavily with harmonies and backing vocals within the different genres to create an interesting sonic background to the lyrics and melodies, in an attempt to enhance mood and meaning." 

Ryan is a professional Singer, Musician and Actor and has played hundreds of live gigs, and appeared on TV, Film and Stage all around the world. Originally from Ontario, Ryan spent 3 seasons in Canada's famous Stratford Festival. In 2000 he moved to Sydney Australia, where he continued his performing career, including six years touring with The Wiggles, where he understudied the OG Wiggles and provided backing vocals on over 10 CDs. He also fronted the band The Vinyl Edge, performing in venues all across New South Wales. He returned to Stratford, Ontario in 2022, and has been very active in theatre once again, appearing in productions at the Canadian Opera Company, The Victoria Playhouse, and Drayton Entertainment. Ryan has continued to perform as a solo artist around Ontario, and is very excited to be releasing his first solo album, Navigate to You.
